Lately I had been getting some black smudges on printed sheets. After going through the manual it seemed cleaning the corona wires might do the trick (it did). However after putting everything back together I got the dreaded TONER LIFE END for all 3 of the color cartridges (yellow, cyan, magenta). I knew they were not empty since it worked fine yesterday and the printer says only about 1900 total pages have gone through the printer with 1600+ in color. I bought new carts but before putting them in looked for a way to reset the counters to get a little more out of the current ones I KNOW are not empty. After much searching and tips that didn’t work I found one that did at [...] displaying-toner-life-end/. No more TONER LIFE END messages (which when you get it, nothing will print). The link talks about the HL-4050 model but I am using an HL-4070CDW and it worked. Hope this helps others.

I rec’d the wrong item. Ordered the HIGH YIELD for considerably more money and rec’d the normal yield. Have contacted Amazon.com MULTIPLE times and they do not even respond to my request for help. Well Amazon, you got my money this time, but I will never order from anyone on your site again. Learned my lesson the expensive way.
