I am so disappointed in this printer. I couldn’t even get it to print anything but a solid black page. There must be something wrong with the ink. This one is going back.

This printer is a piece of junk. It does not print right. It will only do one envelope at a time, not a mass mailing. Try to print a range and it feeds one or two envelopes through with nothing printed on them. It does not work with Windows XP or Mac. (Note: There is no Mac driver available and it is rather tricky to get it to work in Mac.) It DOES like to constantly recycle itself over and over and over and over and over again. That is about the only thing it is good at. I am constantly shutting it down so that I don’t throw it out the window. I would not recommend this printer at all. (I only gave it one star because Amazon insisted.)

I bought the HP CP1215 as a Xmas gift for my girlfriend since it seemed like a really good printer and there were mostly positive reviews. Could not install with 64-bit Windows Vista…despite HP listing compatibility with Windows Vista…spent a lot of time with HP technical support with no resolution. Will have to try and return it, but don’t know if they’ll accept it since my girlfriend threw out the box/packing materials.

I would be very interested to hear from anybody who has successfully install/used the CP1215 with 64-bit Windows Vista.

This printer does not work with the Mac. HP does not provide drivers and does not support it for the Mac at all, so Apple users should forget it. Also, although it prints beautifully, purchasing the four toner cartridges that this printer needs will cost you more then the purchase price of the printer itself, each time you have to refill! I’m thinking of selling mine frankly.

I bought this last night because I was ready for a color laser printer, and my HP 1012 didn’t have any issues with my Mac. This printer needs Unix/Linux hacks to get it working with OSX.

Edit: After getting it working with Leopard, I tested it with several color pages, and the print quality is AMAZING!!! I would give it 4 stars now (mac support would make it 5).
