The item never arrived, but my account was credited for the amount of the purchase. My biggest complaint was that the seller made no effort to contact me at the time he didn’t have the merchandise in stock. That is woefully bad customer relationions.

I bought this printer based on reviews. It worked for 1 day. The second day when I turned on the printer it would feed a paper into the printer half way, I had to pull the paper out in order to print. After it printed it would take the next paper in half way. Also it said I had a paper jam even with no paper in the printer. I called HP support and after 1 hour on the phone they said the printer had to be replaced. They said they would replace it but it would take 5 – 7 days to receive another one.I told them I do not want another one and I would be taking it back to the store where I bought it. It’s going back today.

Bought this printer to replace an almost brand new HP PSC1315 that died after only 6 months of use. Getting HP service out here is like pulling teeth but since we don’t have too many choices with suppliers of ink I had to go back to HP. Set up was much easier than the previous one and the software seems to work a little better. Hoping this one lasts longer than 6 months or I will resort to another brand and worry about getting the ink afterwards.

I am writing this while on hold with HP. I previously had the HP C3180 printer, but I received this new printer free with my laptop purchase. The C4680 is basically the same thing as the C3180, except they’ve added a touch screen that doesn’t make anything easier. As a free printer, I give it two stars because it will print off the computer. My main complaints are with the software and the customer service. First, the software. It loads onto the computer but gives me no way to delete my old printer off the memory, so every time I try to print it tries to print to the now non-existent printer and I have to select the new one. Another problem I have is the scanner automatically crops every scan, cutting off parts of the page, and I can’t figure out how to turn off autocrop. I went to their help page, put no success. So now I am still on hold… If you get this new free with your mac, fine. If your old printer still works, don’t bother with this new one. Sell it and buy something else. As far as customer service goes, when I finally got transferred to a technician, she was very helpful and resolved my issues, so 2.5 stars might be better. I just wish I didn’t have to spend 2hrs on the set-up. For reference, I am a Mac user w/ OS 10.5.5. I would consider myself average in computing abilities.
