Yes , I would. Igave it to my wife as a Christmas present. She loves it. Especially for the fact she can use her laptop and print from anywhere in the house without changing computers.

I was never able to get this printer to work, and had to return it. The print head has to be loaded with ink cartridges and installed in the printer into a moving carriage. When I followed the instructions to install the printhead, the device would not recognize that the printhead was present, and gave error messages, preventing further set-up of the machine. I called the Lexmark customer service number 3 times, spoke to an overseas call center, was promised that a senior technician would call me back within 48 hours. No one called me back in 3 weeks, and I eventually returned the device to Amazon. Amazingly, after I returned the device, I received a new printhead and ink cartridges in the mail, without anyone from Lexmark calling me. I have purchased another manufacturer’s printer instead, and would never purchase a Lexmark product again after this experience.

Having owned several HP Printers in the past and never having had a problem with getting them set up, I was very disappointed that the software provided with the Lexmark would not work. Due to other family illness stress in my life right now, I was not willing to go through a workout process to get this printer to work and returned it. Amazon was great to work with in getting the printer and cartridges I purchased for the printer returned and my money refunded quickly. I love Amazon — just not this printer. I will go back to purchasing HP printers.

I had the HP wireless 4-1 printer for the past 6 month and every week I had to reinstall the driver. the scanning fuction never worked. with the installation, it cames with a dozen of junk HP program that jams my laptop. one day, my husband and I just decided enough is enough and we need a new printer. so we bought the lexmark. it is simple and easy to use. it is fast and works like a charm. Highly recommend for home office use.

I got this to replace an Epson inkjet that worked well, but was not wireless. In that respect it is a success. The print quality is fine – basic inkjet quality. The wireless function works across my house. I suppose it works anywhere you can access your wireless network.

It prints one-sided documents very quickly, way, way faster than my old ink jet. Two-sided take some time as the paper comes out of the printer and is then sucked back in to print the back side. You can set the printer to default to print on one or two sides and overwrite it for individual documents.

One of my favorite features of this printer is you can tell it to print only in black. My Epson used a little (expensive)colored ink even when printing just black text. I print mainly black text and with the black only option I have gone through several black cartridges without having to replace the colored.

I had some confusion installing it. There is plenty of notice to run the CD before you try to connect to the printer and I obeyed that (and had no problems at all connecting wirelessly). My problem was that I tried to install the ink cartridges before I connected. As someone who has installed a dozen or more printers, I was accustomed to doing the basic set-up first: remove packaging and tape and installing the ink. I ran into problems with this as the print head (plastic cartridge that holds the ink) was not installed and did not fit into the area that it was obviously supposed to go into. I called the help line and, after more than 5 minutes and two support people, learned that there is a cover/bracket that needs to be released to hold the print head. This was covered in the set-up disk, but was not in the set-up instruction sheet (but ink installation was).

Oncre I got everythig installed it worked well. Although I don’t refill cartridges, I was disappointed to learn that the option would not be available to me with this model and have rated it a little lower in the usage/cost catagory for that reason.

I started getting an error message (Lexmark Web Gateway has encountered a problem and needs to close)when printing and haven’t had time to find the fix (reloading the software and drivers did not work). It is irritating, but the printing itself works fine.

There is nothing about this printer that really wows me, but I think it is a good, moderately priced wireless inkjet.
