The printer was supposed to be refurbished, and it just didn’t work. I had to write 4 emails and wait about a month before I got a response and my money back.

This is a terrible printer. I have had nothing but trouble with it since the install(which was easy. The print quality is marginal, the paper jams every day! I have tried 6 different paper types all the same result. The toner over spray or what ever the canister is under the front panel that is supposed to catch it leaks. The thing is noisy and poor quality. SATAY AWAY! I have an HP 4700 that is expensive but amazing, a Lexmark(noisy but great) and slew of B&W various models. NO other unit has caused so much trouble.

Bought it new 3 months ago, it wrapped paper around one of the rollers, (an internal roller you cannot access), Samsung has put me around and around in circles for 2 weeks over a warranty repair. So, into the junk pile it goes – let the buyer beware, you get what you pay for! And the thing is, they don’t even care if people never buy their products again. Too bad they couldn’t just stand behind their warranty…..

I bought a Samsung CLP-510 from staple. When I first got, I tried printing check from quickbook. It was always off like one line. So I called the tech support people, and was told that this is a defect one. So I returned to Staples and get another one. This one a little better, but still a quarter line off to the bottom. I have three other printers in my office: one Lexmark laser printer, one Samsung all in one laser and one Epson color ink printer. All of them cando the printing without any problem. Today I tried to print address label. First I have to adjust the Margin on the top (the default template margin work with all other three). Second ever I adjust the top margin right, the address on the bottom is still a little off. So I guess the printer has alignment problem.

Another problem I have is the smell. Whenever I print something form it. It smells like the burning of the plastic. This happens to the other one I returned. I hope it goes away. Because I travel a lot and miss the 30 day return window, I may have to keep it. But this one really hurts my feeling to Samsung. I will be more cautious when I buy Samsung products.
